Yasmina Husin is a Romanian-born visual artist with a documentary approach to research. She is currently based in Cardiff, Wales. Her practice revolves around the dynamics of the human-technology interactions. The terrains she explores focus on the virtual and timeless space of the internet. The topics on perception and the self as two interlinked notions engaged in a continuous fluctuating movement fed by the digital culture. Her projects follow the testimonies offered by the evolving technologies about the humans making them, as well as the subsequent effects of these technologies on lived experience.
Mae Yasmina Husin (hi/hwythau) yn artist weledol Rwmanaidd gydag ymagwedd ddogfennol i ymchwil. Yn bresennol, mae hi wedi lleoli yng Nghaerdydd. Mae ei hymarfer wedi seilio ar ddynameg rhyngweithiau dynol-technolegol. Mae’r ardaloedd mae hi’n astudio yn ffocysu ar ofod rithiol a bythiol y ryngrwyd, yn ogystal â chanfyddiad a’r hunan, dau cysyniad cydgysylltiedig sydd yn esblygu ynghyd â diwylliant ddigidol. Mae ei prosiectau yn dilyn tystiolaethau sy’n cael eu cynhyrchu gan y technolegau yma, ynghylch â’r bodau dynol sy’n eu creu nhw, yn ogystal â’r effeithiau dilynol mae’r technoleg yma yn cael ar brofiad byw.
